Find Care & Housing
You should attend an elder law attorney with your POA brother and get a care contract. If you are living with Dad your rent and home are paid for, but if you cannot leave Dad, then that hardly matters, for you are existing and when Dad is gone you may be left without a home OR any funds, and certainly without a job history.

You should have a solid care contract that your brother and you make with an attorney that decides how much Dad will pay you.
Now if Dad goes on Medicaid you can check with the rules of your state regarding inhome caregiving. All too often Family isn't paid. That will be up to you and bro to research.
I myself would not serve as caregiver to ANYONE for whom I was not the POA. Too confusing and too open for arguments otherwise.
Good luck to you.

If your father is on Medicaid, then you can look into getting paid by them. Otherwise your older brother can set up a pay schedule from your fathers money if his POA is active.
Also if your father is a veteran, the VA also pays for help with a veteran in-home, but sure if that includes family help or just their paid caregivers.

What is your plan once dad needs to go into a nursing home or passes? Are you going to be set up with a home to live in, and are you going to have an income to support yourself?
